This page explains what this website collects and why.

When you vote

We save your chosen contestant and the time of the vote. To apply the 60-second wait between votes and to stop automated abuse, we also store a random identifier in a cookie and one-way (hashed) codes made from your IP address and browser details. We do not store your raw IP address with the vote. These codes are cleared from vote records after about 90 days; the vote itself stays so past results remain accurate.

Security logs

When a request is rejected, for example because too many votes came from one connection, we log the type of event, the time and a hashed code. These logs are deleted after about 30 days.

Contact form

If you write to us we receive your name, email address and message, and we use them only to reply.

Service providers

The site is run on a hosting provider. A bot-check service may be used on the voting and contact forms. If we add analytics or advertising, those providers may set cookies, and we will list them on the cookie policy.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but voting may stop working. To ask about data connected to a message you sent us, use the contact page.
